Purple August: violence against women also happens digitally

21/08/2025 - Institucional

The Purple August campaign reminds us that the fight to end violence against women must take place in all spaces—including the digital environment.

With the advancement of technology, new forms of aggression emerge: image and voice manipulation, cyber harassment, online stalking, and the improper use of artificial intelligence.

These practices are not just immoral—they are crimes.

Brazilian legislation already recognizes digital psychological violence against women as a crime, with aggravated penalties when there is the use of AI or other technologies.

Our commitment is to the protection of women and the ethical use of technology.
Violence is not love. Technology is not an excuse. Respect is the minimum.
